‘(Corporate) governance is the system of rules, practices and processes by which a company is directed and controlled (Chartered Governance Institute)’
- The top two clubs (Exeter City and Newport County) are both trust owned, with other trust owned club AFC Wimbledon in the top five.
- No Premier League club scored higher than 35 points, less than half of Exeter and Newport County
- Three clubs scored zero including Bolton, Crystal Palace and Oxford United, showing that Governance measures (which in Fan Engagement underpin actual Dialogue) are a problem at all levels of the pyramid
- Two of those highest Championship performing clubs were now promoted Brentford and Norwich on 50 and 45 points respectively
