Fan Engagement Network launches: Bristol Rovers 26th July: Programme added

We’re delighted to be working with Bristol Rovers FC & their highly respected CEO Tom Gorringe to put on the first event of the Fan Engagement Network on the 26th July from 14:00-16:00.

The programme for the event is below.

14:00 Welcome
14:05 Presentation (Think Fan Engagement): Fan Engagement under an independent regulator
14:15 Questions & discussion
14:35 Bristol Rovers presents: Rising up the Fan Engagement Index
14:45: Questions & discussion
15:00 Drinks & networking in the bar
16:00 Finish

The aim of the event is to bring together people from clubs involved in Fan Engagement at all levels – including owners, directors, staff and volunteers. If you’re from a club and want to attend, drop us a line at hello@fanengagement.net

It will be an opportunity to hear from TFE about their work they’re doing in the rapidly changing Fan Engagement space in football. BRFC will discuss their transparent approach to Fan Engagement that delivers open & honest communications for fans all year round, helps provide insights to improve fan experience and ultimately drives income.

We will also be providing some time for you to network and chat to other clubs after the formalities are over.

Since their first showing in 2018/2019, the club has posted huge rises in the Fan Engagement Index, and have improved on all aspects of engagement.

A big part of it has been a huge drive to improve transparency, including even the publication of football club board minutes and other information on a dedicated Fan Engagement section on their website.

He and his Rovers staff have crucially ensured that it contributes to improving fan experience and the bottom line, including a lively pre-match experience for home fans, as well as ensuring that away fans are catered for.

Tom’s career has seen him first hone his work at the coalface of football, including crisis hit Portsmouth and Cardiff City when they achieved Premier League promotion – where he also helped to reverse the controversial kit colour change. He was at Brighton and Hove Albion until 2017, where his work on Fan Engagement & experience received plaudits from across the industry. He became Commercial Director at Bristol Rovers in 2017, and CEO in 2021.

You can hear about how Tom and his team turned Fan Engagement around at the event on the 26th, as well as from Kevin Rye about how Fan Engagement will look under the new Independent Regulator.

Tom will also be appearing soon on a Fan Engagement Pod three-way chat with Liam Scully (Lincoln City) and Ryan Sparks (Bradford City)

We look forward to welcoming you on the day to the network. If you’re from a club and want to attend, drop us a line at hello@fanengagement.net
