Think Fan Engagement (TFE) is a consultancy founded by Kevin Rye, a leading authority on the relationship between fans and clubs. We advise clubs, leagues, and organisations looking to deepen their understanding of fans and the relationship they have with their clubs. You will be joining a team of three – Kevin, our founder, our consultant and our researcher. We are a small but passionate team who are committed to advocating for the voice and views of sports fans.

Role Overview

We are  seeking a Content Assistant to support the delivery of our regular communications and work on ad-hoc projects. They key duties of the role include:

  • Developing and writing our monthly newsletter.
  • Enhancing our social media strategy (particularly LinkedIn and Facebook). This includes creating day-to-day engaging posts and ad-hoc social media campaigns to publicise specific projects such as research papers and our annual fan engagement indices for football and rugby league. 
  • Manage the production and publicity of our podcast ‘The Fan Engagement Pod’. This includes pitching episode ideas, themes, and potential guests. 
  • Contributing to our overall marketing and content strategy to raise awareness of our brand and work. 

This opportunity could be for you if  you:

  • are passionate about sports fans and exploring new ideas in fan engagement. You ‘get’ that fans are a club’s most important stakeholder and believe in a listening-first culture. 
  • have experience or a keen interest in content creation, marketing and/or communications. You can write and communicate clearly for different types of content. 
  • are adaptable to shifting priorities and enjoy the hustle of a consultancy environment. 
  • are excited by the prospect of helping to build something from the ground up.
